If you installed it on a subdirectory, the URL will be
Once you visit that link, you’ll see an HTML page. However, when bots crawl it Yoast will send an XML page.
This HTML page is called a sitemap index, a collection of sitemaps. Sitemap indexes are used to split large sitemaps into small ones. So, Yoast uses them keeping scaling in mind.
If you click on a link in the sitemap index, you’ll find the actual sitemaps with URLs to your posts.
