Data Deletion
This page explains how to delete your data from Hyvor and Hyvor Talk.
Canceling Subscription
If you are a paid Hyvor Talk subscriber, you can cancel the subscription from the Subscription section of the console with two clicks.
- Go to Console -> Account -> Subscription
- Click the "Cancel Subscription" button at the bottom
- Then, click "Confirm"
Deleting Website Data
If you are a website owner, you can delete each of your websites' data from the console.
- Go to Console -> Moderate
- Choose the correct website from the left dropdown list
- Click "Delete Website" in the Advanced section and confirm
All website-related data (comments, pages, etc.) will be completely erased. There is no way to undo this action.
Deleting Comments (Hyvor)
If you want to delete comments made using your Hyvor account,
- Visit Hyvor Talk Home
- Go to "My Comments" and delete the comments you want
Deleting Comments (SSO and Guest)
Some websites use Single Sign-on (SSO), where the accounts are website-specific. Some other websites use guest commenting, which does not require logging in. Therefore, we don't have a way to allow you to access both SSO and guest comments directly. Please contact the owner of the website (where you commented) asking to delete your comments for you. If that does not work, you can contact us directly.
Deleting Hyvor Account
If you want to delete your Hyvor account completely,
- Go to https://auth.hyvor.com/account
- Then, click delete account and confirm your password to continue
Please note that if you want to delete your comments, you have to do it before deleting your Hyvor account. There's no way to delete comments after deleting your Hyvor account because we completely remove all of your personal data from our databases immediately. The remaining comments will appear under the name "Anonymous User" after deleting the Hyvor account.
However, you can cancel your paid subscription after deleting your Hyvor account by contacting us via email.
If you are a website owner, all your website-related data (comments, pages, etc.) will be deleted within 24 hours.
